 About Us

Old Wowblogo.pngorld Balloonery, LLC was established in 1975 by Dale Points. Today, Old World Balloonery , LLC is owned and operated by Jason Jones. Jason got started in hot-air ballooning at the young age of 5, as part of the chase crew for his mother, Annie Laurie Points in Indianola, Iowa. After many years of chasing, Jason started training to become a hot air balloon pilot in 1986. Since then Jason has flown hot-air balloons all over the country and has logged over 1500 hours as pilot-in-command. Jason and his wife Kim live in Overland Park, Kansas, and have great pride in Old World Balloonery, LLC. They are eager to share their passion and enthusiasm for the sport of hot-air ballooning with you.

 

Balloon Rides

 

A balloon ride with Old World Balloonery, LLC is a unique and special experience. Your flight will carry up to six passengers and a pilot drifting along with you over the countryside. After your flight you will enjoy champagne and either a breakfast snack or a sunset snack while the crew packs up the balloon. To finish your experience you will be presented with a First Time Flyers certificate.

Policies

Basic policies are below. You will be required to fill out a pre-flight instruction and policy list as well prior to takeoff

  • All passengers must be at least 10 years old. All passengers must be able to climb in and out of the basket and chase vehicle unassisted.
  • Gift Certificates must be paid for in advance and are good for one calendar year. You must present your Gift Certificates when meeting with Old World Balloonery, LLC the day of the flight. Gift Certificates have no cash value and will be honored as a flight only.
  • To cancel a flight, a customer must notify Old World Balloonery, LLC 48 hours before the scheduled flight time to avoid charges.
  • The pilot of your balloon makes all decisions regarding your flight. The pilot is concerned about your safety. We as a company will always error on the side of safety. If weather does not cooperate on the date of your flight, your flight will be rescheduled for the next available date that works with your schedule.
