The 2016 Elephant Butte Balloon Regatta at Elephant Butte State Park in NM will be held August 27-28, 2016. We are hoping for 25 pilots this year. Despite the drought there is water in the lake and the flying is great! We provide a hotel room, propane (usually come full, leave full), pilot pack, Friday night reception with hor d'oeuvres and a Saturday afternoon BBQ on the beach. If you don't have a boat skipper we also provide you with a boat chase crew. Often after a morning of flying over the water, pilots and crews will hang out on the lake with the chase boats the rest of the day. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to pay for special shapes (though if you want to bring one, feel free!). Sorry, no student pilots.
