  19. When you first come on the site you find it a little overwhelming! We have tried real hard to structure the navigation to make it as easy as we can. That Said, there is just so much stuff on this site however, there are ways of cleaning up the clutter. First did you know you can open and close each category! Each Category is represented bya Brown Category Bar. This bar goes across the page. Over on the right hand side of that bar is a small up and down arrow. Click on that Arrow to open or fold up that entire category! See this photo. Next is the Follow This feature. ON almost every Topic, Post, Reply, Photo Gallery & Calendar Event there is a "Follow This" button. When you select the Follow option you will get an email anytime someone posts a topic or makes a reply in that forum or that item. There is also a small number next to the Follow button that shows you the number of other members that are also following that item. A fantastic use for this would be if you were looking at a balloon for sale and the price was too high you could select follow this item and when something is changed you are notified or if someone else asks a question about that piece of equipment you hear about it too! This is a very handy feature to our site. All new members are automatically signed up to follow the HAB Walkie Talkie. This forum works exactly how it sounds. Someone posts a topic and everyone gets an email. Like everyone being on the same radio frequency at the same time! Bread Crumb Trails. Just like the storybook fable our site has bread crumb trails. At the top of the page just under the main navigation bar are links of where you have been. You can click on any of those links and jump back to a previous page you were on. Handy when searching many different topics in one or more categories or sub-categories. Search Bar. Our search system is real good. It allows you to search separate areas of the site or the whole site. Search for whole strings of words or separate words. Up at the top of every page you will find the search bar. Give it a try when you are looking for something specific. So as you can see we have tried to create a site where you can find just about anything you could want to know about and still keep it relatively easy to navigate. Keep in mind that when you have this much information in one spot it can still be a challenge even with the best of organization.

Listing equipment is actually quite easy. We have now made it so anyone (Member or Guest) can list equipment on the HAB site. This video tutorial will walk you thru the process. First, Identify the category your equipment should be listed in. As you will see there are many different categories for all kinds of equipment. Find the category that best fits the equipment you have for sale. Next you want to have a good title for your topic. 2010 Aerostar 105 Classic basket low hrs. Something short and sweet that gives the visitor a good idea of what you are selling. Then in your topic go wild! The more information the better. Tell us everything you can about what you have for sale. be as detailed as you want and don't forget to add your contact information. (remember that everyone can see your topic even people who are not members) Be as complete with your contact information as you can. Email, Web Links, Phone Numbers everything. Then ad photos. As many as you can! You have a 10MB limit but if you size your photos about 600 X 800 pixels you should be able to get about 25 to 30 of them loaded. If you are a guest you will have to check the box "I am not a Robot" If you are a member on the site make sure you log in and check the box "Notify me of replies" So watch the video and see how easy and then GET STARTED!

  21. There are many times when you want to use a photo or logo over and over. For example when you create a signature or when creating replys or new topics. There is a button here in the editor called "My Media" When you click this button it will take you to a access manager where you can select any file or photo or logo you have uploaded and with one click insert it into any post. BUT you have to have uploaded the files first. Sometimes you want to upload something that is for your use only! This is when you want to have a private gallery. A private gallery allows you to have access to any photo or logo you want without giving others access to it. This is handy when you are creating your own signature line for your posts. This tutorial shows you how to create your own private gallery. http://hotairballoonist.com/forum/index.php?/files/file/57-%7B?%7D/
  22. Most of the memberships here on HotAirBalloonist.com are monthly. There are also files for sale in the download section of the site as well as items in the store you may wish to purchase. There are also donation drives going on from time to time as well as gift vouchers you can purchase and give to others. As you can see there are many things you may need to use a credit card for here on the site. Rather than having to type in your card number over and over you can just place one on file here on the site.
  23. Starting a new topic is easy to do. Log in and go to the category or forum you want to create a new topic in. If you are allowed to start a topic in that area of the site you will see a brown button at the top right and bottom right hand side of the forum. The brown button will say START NEW TOPIC. If you are not allowed to start a topic in that category or forum the button will be an off white color and say you can not start a topic or you must log in to start a topic. http://hotairballoonist.com/forum/index.php?/files/file/41-%7B?%7D/
